I was beyond excited when I arrived at Red Rocks Amphitheatre late Monday afternoon for another show with Lindsey Stirling. My 6th time seeing her and 4th time at Red Rocks. But this night was going to be extra special, Lindsey was sharing the stage with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. I tried to imagine the sound I would hear with the combination of Lindsey’s magic she creates with her violin along with the depth and power of the Colorado Symphony. I was about to find out. As her fans were making their way to their seats, with the electricity and excitement filling the air, a roar erupted from the audience as the Colorado Symphony took to their places and settled in.

A quiet fell over the venue, a moment later, Lindsey appeared from the side of the stage to a deafening roar. Dressed in a bright red long dress, gold ankle high boots. Her hair was pulled back with a band with two red roses attached, a touch of elegance. With a wave to her fans, Lindsey started with the opening the evening with “Underground” which was just Lindsey’s violin at first then the power of the orchestra joined in and the music flowed out over Red Rocks. Lindsey moved about the stage gracefully. Her moves look so natural and effortless, a bend here, spin there with her dress dancing with her movements along with the breeze from a light wind.

Finishing the song, Lindsey moved to the microphone and with a smile that would light up the venue she thanked everyone for being here and talked about how when she plays Red Rocks, it is always filled and so many came again and again. People were raising their hands in acknowledging they had seen her before and she pointed out everyone with thanks. Then she added a little more excitement letting everyone know that her mother was in the audience this night and the cheering from the crowd was amazing to hear.

Her setlist for this tour was a great mixture of songs from over the last 13 years. (see setlist below) And to add the power of the orchestra with each song was just amazing to hear. From song to song, Lindsey moved about the stage showing just how agile she is in her movements. Spinning, throwing a high kick, bending over backwards and with big smiles on her face. Every so often Lindsey would move to the microphone and talk about many parts of her life and get a little emotional at times. That is the one thing that I have always admired about her, she is not afraid to talk about the ups and downs of her life and at times she has admitted to getting through some very difficult times. I believe it has made her stronger with the help of family and friends.

There was a short intermission and Lindsey returned with the song, “Crystallize” from 2012 and her energy level did not slow down one bit. She continued to flow about the stage, where she gets all that energy is beyond me. She closed out the evening with a song that I believe really hits home with her and her fans. “Eye of the Untold Her” from 2024.
What an amazing and powerful show, I hope everyone who reads this, if she is coming your way or even close, this is a must see and “hear” performance by Lindsey Stirling and the orchestra’s that she will be playing with.
